Cradle of the Night

*Geo chuckles lightly as she sounded puzzled, nodding to her question.*

Geo: Yes, they have found mates. Now they must come back to the pack to mate so the young can restart the cycle.

*Geo says with a smile.*

*Gavir looked at Geo, puzzled, but still remaining close to him.*

Gavir: If they're gone, doesn't that mean that they've found mates?

*Gavir spoke with a gentle voice, the tone coming natural to her as it was her mating season as well.*

*Geo huffed and smiled, watching the dust go by from the wind sweeping at the dirt.*

Geo: Maybe another time, dear. I must wait for the females to return.

*Geo says lightly as he looked back up at Gavir.*

*Gavir tried to pay no mind to Geo's missing eye, instead keeping a smile on her face. She walked near the outside of the cavern, seeing her village in the distance.*

Gavir: Geo, now that you've shown me your home, would you like to come visit mine some time?

*Geo twitched his ear and smiled back. He blinked his one eye as his other twitched since it was only a large scar over top of the lid where there was no eye.*

Geo: Ah. Yes. Abigail was kind but wasn't trustworthy with other newborn species. I'm glad you slept well.

*Gavir remained blushing, looking at Geo sheepishly.*

Gavir: W-well, i've always slept alone my entire life. Even when Abigail was raising me, we never slept next to each other from what i remember, so sleeping next to someone felt nice...

*Gavir smiled a bit at Geo, her expression turning from shy to happy.*

*Geo rested a paw on Gavir's shoulder, and patted her lightly then sat his paw back down on the ground.*

Geo: It's okay, dear. Why did you feel better? You don't like sleeping alone?

*Geo asked with a content look on his face, looking at Gavir.*

*Gavir looked down shyly after realizing the day.*

Gavir: Well, i slept well, better since i was next to someone.

*Gavir blushed, realizing what she just said.*

Gavir: N-not that i meant anything!

*Geo chuckled lightly and huffed looking over at Gavir.*

Geo: They left to go find the other pack. I stay here and wait for their arrival.

*Geo sighed lightly as he scratched is ear.*

Geo: I slept well, thank you, and yourself?

*Gavir woke up inside the cavern, getting up and walking towards Geo.*

Gavir: Where have those females gone off to now? You were their protector, they shouldn't have gone off like that.

*Gavir let out a soft irritated growl, then quickly calmed down and looked back at Geo with a smile.*

Gavir: Anyway, how did you sleep last night?

*It quickly had dawned on Gavir that her birthday was coming near, as well as her own mating season. She chose to remain silent about it.*

*The next morning, the sun shone brightly inside the cavern. Geo was sitting outside the cavern as the females were gone, so he was alone. He huffed lightly, smelling the morning air happily. He listens to the Tropics churtle in the bushes as mating season has began. Geo swayed his tail against the ground as his smile wisped away and a tear left his one eye. He thought of Abigail as horrible flashbacks roamed throughout his mind.*

Geo: Why does it have to be this way...?

*Geo asks himself quietly.*

*Gavir smiled, lowering her head again.*

Gavir: Well, that's nice of you. Well, good night.

*Gavir slowly closed her eyes, softly falling sideways drowsily as her tail brushed against his again.*

*Geo lies his head back down and closes his eyes. He feels Gavir's tail brush against his, opening his eyes slowly from being slightly aroused by the soft touch. He then chuckled lightly, closing his eyes once again.*

Geo: Its in my nature to worry about others. Its how I am.

*Gavir got back up, her tail brushing against Geo's lightly, although she did not seem to feel it.*

Gavir: I got caught on my wing as i moved.

*Gavir noticed Geo smiling, looking away shyly.*

Gavir: And...it's kind of nice that you worried...

*Geo shook his head slightly as his eyes were still closed.*

Geo: No no.. it's fine.

*Geo perked his ears and raised his head swiftly, looking over at Gavir as she has fallen to her side. He smiled lightly.*

Geo: Having troubles, dear?

*Gavir shifted closer to Geo, lowering her head and flattening her ears.*

Gavir: Oh, did i bring up something you didn't want to talk about? I-i'm sorry!

*Gavir slipped, falling onto her side and making a quiet shriek.*

*Geo nodded in agreement as he closed his eyes, huffing in a sigh.*

Geo: Yes, I did... make this myself.

*Geo paused for a moment then continued with the sentence like it was some bad type of memory.*

*Gavir giggled, the yawned as well.*

Gavir: Well, i think we should turn in for the night. Don't you think so too?

*Gavir smiled, laying down in the nest.*

Gavir: This is quite comfortable, did you make it yourself?

*Geo chuckled softly at the absurd comment.*

Geo: I have never heard anything like that before.

*Geo cleared his throat and looked up at the females who are sound asleep already. He looks back down and twitches his ears the faint sound of Muthropes wandering the forest. Geo yawned and blinked abit from being so exhausted.*

*Gavir smiled, then looked around and then back at Geo.*

Gavir: Thank you. And, well...a tail moving like that is a sign of attraction to my species...

*Gavir blushed, embarassed from saying it.*

*Geo smiled at Gavir.*

Geo: Of course you can stay.

*Geo perked up his tail and looked at Gavir.*

Geo: Why do you ask?

*Geo tilted his head in curiosity why Gavir cared much about his tail wagging.*

*Gavir sat down next to Geo, giggling at his low pitched chuckle.*

Gavir: You know, i could stay here if you really want me to, i wouldn't mind, and neither would the village.

*Gavir looked at his tail, hiding a blush. As to the Atonus, a moving tail like that was a sign of attraction.*

Gavir: H-hey, is your tail moving like that for a reason?

*Geo chuckles with his deep voice looking down at the ground. He then looked back up at Gavir, staring into her beautiful purple eyes.*

Geo: I just wanted to make sure you were going to make it back safely.

*Geo smiles warmly, brushing his tail against the nest as he enjoyed her voice.*

*Gavir smiled, listening to Geo.*

Gavir: Ah, i see.

*Gavir looked outside as well, then looked back to Geo, still smiling happily.*

Gavir: Of course i do. Why, did you want me to stay the night?

*Gavir giggled, her tone was teasing.*

*Geo looks at the females and smiles.*

Geo: They are just curious of who you are. They will move on to something else later on.

*Geo looked outside as it was pitch black then looked at Gavir.*

Geo: It's quite dark out, are you sure you know your way back?
